The Moroccan authorities successfully apprehended a 62-year-old Swiss national, subject of an international arrest warrant, in the city of Beni Mellal on Friday evening.
The arrest is related to charges of pedophilia, sexual exploitation of minors, and the dissemination of pornographic content.
The international warrant was issued by the Swiss authorities.
Following thorough investigations, the Moroccan Police, in collaboration with the Directorate General of National Territorial Surveillance, located and arrested the suspect.
The computer found in his possession is under digital scrutiny to validate any evidence that supports the alleged criminal activities.
In line with due process, the suspect is currently under detention, with extradition proceedings underway.
