Real Betis has turned their scouting radar to Morocco, setting their sights on Yahya Attiyat Allah, the standout player from Wydad.

According to local media, officials from Real Betis were caught watching Attiyat Allah in the last games. Their interest is fueled by the prospect of bringing the Moroccan international player on a free transfer since his contract with Wydad will expire at the end of the season.

Middle Eastern clubs, with a distinct emphasis on those based in Saudi Arabia, have expressed keen interest in the Moroccan left back.

Back in the January transfer window, the president of Wydad Sports, rejected an initial offer from French club, Montpellier, of approximately $600,000 for a player transfer. The French team subsequently improved their proposal, making a second offer of about $70,0000, which was also turned down by the Wydad president.

Seeking a sum of approximately $120,000, he waited for a few days until Montpellier agreed to meet this demand. However, he insisted on receiving the payment first before the player could undergo a medical examination. The delay in negotiations was criticized as Wydad anticipates the player’s crucial participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.
