Casablanca – The Public Prosecution of Casablanca has authorized a freeze on all real estate properties held by former Delegate Minister for Public Service and the Modernization of Administration Mohammed Moubdi.

Moubdi is currently in Oukacha prison, awaiting trial for allegations of corruption and embezzlement of public funds.

The freezing of assets is a preventive measure employed by the Moroccan judicial system, aimed at halting the transfer of properties when an individual is linked with serious offenses, such as money laundering. It serves as a provisional safeguard, imposed until a final judgment is passed.

The judiciary directive commanded on Friday the temporary freezing of all real estate assets registered under Moubdi’s name. This extends to include properties owned by any co-defendants within the same corruption case file.
