Mohamed El Ouafa, Minister Delegate in charge of public affairs and governance, declared that supply will exceed demand regardless of increased consumption in Ramadan.
Mr. El Ouafa confirmed that the government has made precautions to avoid increasing prices during said month, as well as other incentives in customs’ procedures, in order to import consumed materials in abundance, and securing a larger stock that will meet the needs of Moroccan families.
The minister’s words came after a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of tracking the market’s state and its surveillance on Thursday.
This meeting had a goal of coordinating between all sectors involved in market supply and controlling prices and quality of consumer goods before the holy month of Ramadan.
