Up in Smoke: Moroccan Authorities Burn $28 MILLION of Drugs

The customs services of the Mohammed V airport of Casablanca burned yesterday in Mediouna large quantities of drugs and contraband products seized during various operations.

According to the Moroccan customs, the burned products concern mainly pure liquid cocaine, heroin, Hashish, contraband cigarettes, cigars, snuff (tobacco), and hookah (shisha-tobacco)

More specifically, 275 kilograms of pure cocaine and 4 liters of the same drug in liquid form were burned, in addition to 160 grams of heroin,110 kg of Hashish,  97,300 packs of cigarettes and cigars, 510 kilograms of snuff(tobacco) and 4 kilograms of hookah (shisha-tobacco).

This operation was conducted under the supervision of representatives of Moroccan Customs, National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities.

It is worth reminding that during last week, the same Custom Services of the Mohammed V airport of Casablanca had destroyed around 5.5 tonnes of hookah (shisha-tobacco),  with an estimated value of 230,000 dirhams ( Around 20000$).
