Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A leadership source from the National Committee for Medical, Pharmacy, and Dentistry Students reported that a protest by medical students will be organized in front of the Faculty of Medicine in Rabat on the upcoming Monday, April 22nd, starting at 3 PM.

It is known that medical, pharmacy, and dentistry students have been boycotting classes since the end of the year in protest against new government measures introduced to the education system. The most notable change was reducing the duration of studies from seven years to six, which the students vehemently reject.

The Ministry of Higher Education had adopted several punitive measures against the students to deter them from continuing their protests after they twice refused to take the end-of-first-term exams.
