Ms. Kim Bolduc, the new Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for the Sahara, was recently on a visit to Morocco and had a meeting last week with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar and Interior Minister Mr. Mohamed Hassad.
The purpose of the meeting was mainly, from the Moroccan authorities perspective, “to express to Ms. Bolduc the entire readiness of the Moroccan authorities to provide her with the necessary support and assistance, for the accomplishment of her assignment, in accordance with the terms of the telephone conversation made, on January 22nd2015, between King Mohammed VI and the UN Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon,” a statement from Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation read.
