According to Morocco’s Office National des Pêches (ONP) (National Fishing Department in English), the country’s fishery production from inshore and artisanal fishing dropped by 4% in quantity to reach only 69,000 tons for the month of January 2015, in comparison with figures from January 2014.
Nevertheless, for the same aforementioned quantity, Morocco saw a 9% increase in turnover, with an amount of money representing around US$ 42.7 million.
