Rabat, Morocco- According to various local reports in Morocco, King Mohammed VI is very unsatisfied with the work done by the Moroccan Minister of Interior Mr. Mohammed Hassad, as well as Morocco’s Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy vis-à-vis a project related “to aiding and codifying hawking (street workers) as a job in Morocco.”

According to various leaks, the Moroccan Minister of Interior told in person various people in charge of the project that the king was “angry and frustrated” vis-à-vis the quality of their work, especially that “they did not take with a lot of seriousness the job given to them.”

It is worth reminding that many Moroccans work as hawkers, with an aim to earn”a piece of bread for the day,” to avoid paying taxes and other related fees. However, from time to time, such people fall prey to “corrupt officials” who ask them for bribes to not take their merchandise away.
