Rabat, Morocco- Ms. Soumia Benkhaldoun, the Moroccan Minister Delegate to the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training, has divorced from her husband after more than 30 years of marriage.

The Moroccan Minister, who is already a grandma, reached an agreement with her husband to have an “uncontested divorce,” after that her husband “could not bear the fact that his wife was all the time absent from home due to her political career.”

According to Akhbar Al Yaoum, leading personalities in the Moroccan government tried to intervene to find a way to keep the couple together, but in vain.

It is worth reminding that the Moroccan Minister had 4 kids with her former husband.

She is now 52 years old.
