The Kingdom of Morocco welcomes that the Libyan Presidential Council is based at the Government headquarters in the capital Tripoli and considers the transfer of the Libyan Political Authority in the capital as a positive and encouraging step in the implementation of the Inter-Libyan Political Agreement signed on December 17th 2015, in Skhirat.
The practice, by the Presidential Council of its prerogatives, in the capital is an important progress in the process of peace and stability in Libya.
The Kingdom of Morocco stresses the urgency of the accomplishment by the parliament of the approval formality of the government of national unity and exhorts, in this regard, the members of the House of Representatives to privilege national interest, through meeting quickly to discuss the validation of the proposed government.
The Kingdom of Morocco reiterates its readiness to continue to support the Libyan government of national unity so that it fully fulfills its mission of national reconciliation, the re-establishment of security, the economic reconstruction and the building of a modern, democratic and prosperous Libyan State.
