Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The cat that was forced to swallow a spell, before its lips were sewed together by a witch is recovering well.
The cat was found by some locals of the city of Salé in a very miserable condition.
After removing the thick thread from the poor animal’s mouth, locals retrieved the picture of a young Moroccan gendarme who lives in the El-Eyayda neighborhood in Salé.
When the authorities came on the scene to stop a mob of young people from completely destroying the witch’s house, they took the poor animal to a vet, Dr. Ahmed Tazi.
Dr. Tazi told Moroccan news outlet Hespress that he “was moved by the humanity shown by the police officers who brought him the little cat in expedition, and showed a high level of compassion and care for the little animal.”
Dr. Tazi told Hespress that the cat “is recovering well.”
“In the upcoming days, it will be waiting to be adopted by someone whom we hope will help it forget the evil moments it went through,” Dr. Tazi added.
The man stressed, “mercy is entwined with the values of Islam as the Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, Be merciful to those on the earth and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you.”
It is worth reminding that the witch was arrested by the Moroccan authorities, though she is still waiting for her trial.
She is expected to spend from 6 months to one year behind bars.
