Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Royal Air Maroc is loosing daily MAD 50 million due to the coronavirus pandemic and it will take the Moroccan company 36 months of hard work to recover from the actual situation.

The company saw the number of its listed flights drop by 60% in March, to reach the lowest possible nadir possible of 100% dropped flights in April.

The company’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou sent an open letter to the company’s employes, laying down his vision of how Royal Air Maroc can stand back on its feet and turn the tide.

Addou also said the company will work closely with the Moroccan state, to be able to recover from the current dire situation.

He said that the company is counting to take a loan, one that will be guaranteed by the Moroccan state.

He also said that the company envisions to recover the losses it incurred and return to a similar economy stand to the one it enjoyed before the pandemic in a 36 months period.
