The international organization “The Social Progress Imperative ” has released its report on the 2014 social index progress. According to the organisation’s study, Morocco lags far behind in the social field.
Morocco scored 58/100 and held place number 91, among the 132 countries covered by the organisation’s study, while Tunisia got the 70th place and Algeria the 87th.
This global ranking is based on three criteria: the availability of individual’s basic needs (access to health care, housing, safety…), the foundations of the individual’s well-being (education, information access…) and the opportunities available to individuals (human rights protection, access to higher education, freedom, equity etc).
