Mbarka Bouaida and Lalla Joumala held Talks with British Minister Hugh Robertson

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mrs. Mbarka Bouaida,  and Moroccan  Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Lalla Joumala, held, in London, on Monday, talks with the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Mr. Hugh Robertson, the ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The British Minister was also caught saying the following on Tweeter:

“Good discussions and a tour of Parliament with #Morocco Minister Bouaida and Ambassador HH Princess Lalla Joumala.”
The Ministry of Foreign affairs said that Mrs.Bouaida”welcomed the sustained evolution of the bonds of cooperation between the two countries, which recently celebrated their 800th  anniversary of diplomatic ties”.

“Mrs. Bouaida also highlighted the overall achievements made at the level of the Moroccan-British cooperation, welcoming in this regard, the consolidation of the permanent High-Level Political Dialogue between the two countries, and the strengthening of the bilateral partnership, confirmed by the strategic dialogue initiated in 2013, between London and Rabat”, the same source reported.
 

“Regarding the issue of territorial integrity, Mrs. Bouaida briefed her British interlocutor about the latest developments in this matter, stressing the efforts undertaken by Morocco to achieve a negotiated political solution within the framework of the Moroccan autonomy initiative of the southern provinces – an initiative that is qualified as « serious, credible and realistic » by the international community”

The source added also that “the Minister Delegate seized the opportunity to lay out the major reform process launched in Morocco, and to highlight the progress achieved by the Kingdom in Democracy and Human Rights, under the leadership of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him” .
