After the King’s strict commands to handle the rising insecurity feeling among the population of several major cities, Morocco’s minister of interior Mohamed Hassad highlighted the important role that security authorities have to bear in order to ensure the safety of all citizens and their property.
During a work session at the Wilaya of Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate, Mr. Hassad stressed that the large scale media coverage of the “Tchermil” phenomenon, through different news sites and social media, has an important role in spreading the feeling of insecurity among the population.
Mr. Hassad added that regaining citizens’ confidence requires the adoption of clear plans to fight crime, which will require coordination among all security services.
