Mustapha Khalfi, Moroccan minister of communication and spokesman of the government, has confirmed that the recently published book “Diary of a Banished Prince” will be sold in Moroccan libraries. The book was written by Prince Moulay Hicham Alaoui, cousin of the Moroccan king. For few months, since Moulay Hicham announced the publication of his Journal, Moroccans showed a high interest in reading through the “Red Prince” personal’s journal.

“We do not see any problems regarding the publication of such kind of books in the kingdom,” said minister Khalfi, who also added that the “Ministry of communication has accepted a publication request submitted to his ministry by a Moroccan distribution firm on the matter”.

This decision would not have been expected by the most optimists, particularly that previously published books, which profoundly criticize the Moroccan monarchy, such us “le Roi Prédateur” and “le Grand Malentendu,” were strictly forbidden from getting into the Kingdom.
