The Container Business at Tangier- Med Port is maintaining its progress as it has increased by 30% in the first quarter of the year, marking a total of 735,000 containers.

In its latest communication, authorities at the Tangier-Med Port attributed this gain to the newly established maritime connections, which link Tangier-Med to the rest of the World.

Since the beginning of the first trimester, Tangier-Med has been linked to the ports of Djibouti, Port Gentil in Gabon, Port Mit in Panama and Port La Guaira in Brazil.

Regarding the car Business, growth is driven mostly by the production of the Renault factory in Melloussa.

The increase was 68 % compared to the same period of 2013.

Finally, The Common User Terminal has also seen an increase of 32%, as well as import-export, which has recorded an increase of 16% in international road transport.
