The criminal division of the court of first instance in Rabat has sentenced a doctor on Monday to 10 months in prison and a fine of 20,000 Dirhams. The doctor is guilty of providing false medical certificates, without conducting the necessary tests and examinations.
The doctor, who worked at the University Hospital Ibn Sina in Rabat, was arrested last February by elements of National Security in the capital, after they have arrested an individual who worked as an intermediary between the doctor and his clients.
The false certificates varied in price depending on the requested resting period that doctor prescribes.
