The El Confidential news portal has reported that Spanish officials are “seriously concerned” about the latest Moroccan large and technologically advanced armaments.
The Kingdom acquired, in 2008, 24 F16 aircraft fighters, for a budget estimated at $2.5 billion, where the latest aircraft was delivered to the Moroccan Royal Air Forces last summer. While the Algerian officials publicly showed their worries then, Spain has been expressing its discomfort lately as well.
As reported by the Spanish news outlet, El Confidential Digital, the recently purchased Moroccan aircraft fighters, represent the penultimate generation in the global armament market. In fact, while Spanish aircrafts can detect an enemy target at a distance of 150km, the Moroccan F16 fighters are able to detect the same target at a double distance, and even jam its radar signals.
