New Equipment For Police In Casablanca After Rise in Crime

The Wilaya of Greater Casablanca has delivered new equipment to the police in order to counter crime and enhance security in all neighborhoods of the city. This comes as a reaction to the increasing rate of various crimes in the city, reports Aufait News outlet.

The aforementioned source indicated that on Tuesday, the Wilaya has provided police prefectures in Casablanca with 97 runners, 34 light cars and 467 motorcycles.

In order to finance this delivery of equipment, a budget of around 40.75 million dirhams was reserved, according to Mohamed Fadel, spokesman of the Wilaya of Greater Casablanca.

The ceremony for handing the equipment has known the presence of Khaled Safir, the Governor of the region of Casablanca and Mohamed Sajid Mayor of Casablanca among other important figures.
