The score of the game makes Atletico Madrid closer to holding the trophy, since they will be receiving the Meringues in the stadium Vicente Calderon, and especially that only a 0-0 score will be needed to lift the cup.
The score is not the only bad news for Real Madrid. Actually, Cristiano Ronaldo played only the first half and asked the coach Carlo Ancelotti to substitute him due to an injury. Ronaldo might not be ready to play in the second leg of the Super Cup.
