Two Emirati police officers, who tried to force a 34-year-old Moroccan woman into having sex with them in exchange for not arresting her, will stay behind bars for three years each, various reports from the UAE said.

Dubai Criminal Court convicted both cops of only “seeking a bribe”, and not of “adultery” or “prostitution” charges, even though the two cops were caught red-handed getting ready for the vice act with the Moroccan, especially after that the authorities staged a fake “sex meetup” and fully heard the phone conversation that the Moroccan woman received from the two officers.

The story started when the said Moroccan, which the reports did not mention by name, decided to take a cab with a friend of her, before a police patrol stopped them.

“They asked for our IDs so I handed him my passport, which he [one of the convicted police elements] checked on the system. Then he asked me to accompany them to the patrol car because I was an illegal resident,” the Moroccan woman said, The National reported from Dubai’s court.

When she got into the cops’ car, one of the officers told her that he will bust her in jail if she won’t have sex with him. The police officer told her that “he will let her go in return of a “red night” in one of Dubai’s hotels.”

“I took his phone number and told him we can be friends, then he told his colleague that I agreed to have sex with him the next day so they let me go,” she told the court, the aforementioned source added.

The Moroccan woman went on further to say that when she tricked them into accepting the offer, she asked for her passport back, but they refused.”

The next day she contacted the police and was given a phone to record further conversations with both men,”the National added.

Following hearing the staged phone conversation, the Dubai authorities decided to arrest both elements.

The judge decided to give them 3-years of jail each on “corruption” charges.

Both were reported to have been dismissed from their duties.
