The prestigious OiLibya Rally of Morocco 2014 will kick off on the 4th of October in Erfoud, with stops in Zagora and Marrakesh scheduled as well.
Most prominent in this year’s edition is the participation of the Polish driver Martin Kaczmarski, who is the youngest driver in the car category to compete in the world-renowned Dakar Rally, best known in Morocco by its former name “Paris–Dakar Rally.”
The young talent secured the outstanding ninth place during the 2014 edition of what the professionals of the sports consider as the “world’s most difficult cross country rally.”
Martin is very excited to be in Morocco. He told The Moroccan Times that he “is very excited to compete in the Moroccan desert.”
“Its very challenging to race in the desert, especially that dunes can be very tricky.
“We need to be careful and fast at the same time,” the young driver closed.
For Martin, the OilLibya Rally is the last test before the more challenging Dakar 2015. The young driver is competing with a MiniALL4Racing car, alongside Tapio Suominen from Finland.
