Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A fatal road accident that occurred this morning in the vicinity of Ouarzazate lead to the death of at least 7 people while 14 others were injured, Morocco’s state agency La MAP said.
According to Al Yaoum 24, the accident occurred exactly in the Tourjdal region, 45 kms from Ouarzazate.
Al Yaoum added that a passenger bus commuting between Ouarzazate and Meknes overturned in a curve, leading the said bus to fall down from the top of a cliff.
Morocco’s civil protection along with the the Royal Gendarmerie are currently undertaking the rescue operation.
The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet determined.
The death toll could still rise.
