Meknes Shaken By a Minor Earthquake

Morocco’s National Institute of Geophysics announced the occurrence of an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale in the Meknes region on Sunday morning.

The institute determined the epicenter to be in the Dkheissa community, part of the Meknes region. The quake struck at 8:50:54 AM (Greenwich Mean Time +1).

This seismic event, recorded at a depth of 13 kilometers, took place at the geographical coordinates of 33.961 degrees north latitude and 5.480 degrees west longitude.
