Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- A Raja Casablanca fan who traveled to Algeria to support his club against Wifaq Stiff, part of the CAF Champions League second leg game, told The Moroccan Times that the “Moroccan media overreacted to what happened yesterday” and that “it was only a very few officials who triggered the scuffle, nothing to do with the Algerian people at large, who treated us very well and welcomed us to their country with open arms.”

“Stop throwing propaganda and nonsense. You were not there so shut up,” the Moroccan supporter said.

“I was there and I can witness that the Algerian supporters have nothing to do with what happened

“Quite the contrary, they very nice to us and very friendly at that,” the Raja supporter said.

An earlier statement from RAJA CURVA, a fan group that traveled to Algeria to support the club, goes hand in hand with the aforementioned testimony.

The statement said that “we were very well received by the Algerians. The Algerian supporters treated us very well. May Allah bless them and make their generosity more fruitful [They said Allah Ikattar Khirhom]. It is the police that attacked the Raja players and some of the traveling supporters, not the Algerian supporters,” Curva Sud Casa stressed.
