Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- During King Mohammed VI’s address yesterday to the nation, on the occasion of his 16th anniversary of accession to the throne, which was broadcast through national TV and radio, the Moroccan monarch lauded of critics mainstream Moroccan ambassadors for their nonchalance when it comes to serving Moroccan living abroad, including the lack of responsibility and immaturity of many of the Moroccan embassies staff members.

King Mohammed VI said that while he was travelling in various countries around the glob in the past days, Moroccans living abroad brought forth their sufferings with irresponsible ambassadors and Moroccan embassies staff members, who give the least importance to the affairs of Moroccans living abroad, which is their foremost responsibility in the first place.

During his speech, King Mohammed VI asked the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation to make the right decision to fix the current problems, stressing that the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs “has to re-assess the mechanisms it currently uses to select ambassadors and staff members.”
