Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Leading German company Kromberg & Schubert is set to open a 2,200 jobs affiliate enterprise in the Kenitra Free Zone after signing an agreement early this month with the local authorities.
The German company Kromberg & Schubert’s affiliate enterprise will focus on the development of an automotive wiring unit for the Volkswagen Group.
According to the Moroccan economy newspaper L’ économiste, the investment amounts to 260 million dirhams.
The Center Regional d’Investissement (CRI) said that this new investment will create 2,200 new jobs.
It is worth reminding that Volkswagen itself will be opening in the near future a car plant in the city of Tangier, Al Ayam 24 reported last month.
