Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-  Moroccan paper Akhbar Al Yaoum published in its today’s edition an article, entitled “A huge Funeral, and the Dead is a Mouse,” where it conducted an interview with Mounir Majidi’s lawyer, Hicham Naciri, on the sidelines of his client’s name being cited in two dossiers related to The Panama Papers leaks.

Hicham Naciri told the Moroccan paper that “all transactions were carried out legally.”

Naciri went on further to add that SMCD Limited had indeed acquired, in the British Virgin Islands, the schooner “Aquarius W”, which was renamed “El Boughaz I” afterwards, further stressing that all Moroccans know that this luxurious schooner belongs to King Mohammed VI as it docks every summer in the port of Moroccan city M’diq.

Naciri also said that Mounir Majidi acquired the luxury Paris apartment, through Immobiliere Orion S.A., legally, stressing that “all renovation works we carried out legally.”

“Anyone who doubts this could check the registers in the Paris municipality where the apartment was registered, before getting sold a couple of years ago,” Naciri said.

Naciri closed saying that “all operations were carried out in accordance with the Moroccan law,” further noting that “there are no secrets, nothing to hide.”
