The score sheet could have been thicker if the Moroccans had not missed many chances.
With this win, the Wydad have a one-hand-grip on their qualifying ticket to the next phase of the competition.
The away game will be a difficult encounter for the Moroccans, especially given that Tout Puissant Mazembe turns into a scarecrow in front of its supporters.
