
Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The head of the UN non recognized Sahraoui Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Ghali, won today a second mandate as secretary general of the Polisario Front with an “absolute majority,” a communiqué from the press office of the officially non-recognized entity read.
The elections came in the wake of the the 15th Congress of the Polisario Front, which was held from 19-23 December.
Participants have “re-elected, by absolute majority, Brahim Ghali, as the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front,” the communiqué stated.
Ghali secured a whopping 1808 voices from a total of 2101, representing a a little over than 86% of the votes.
