Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said the report of buying 100,000 COVID-19 Test Kits from South Korean company Osang Healthcare is not true, and that the figures were exaggerated, completing denying the report that Osang Healthcare provided Morocco with 10,000 diagnostic kits free of charge “on a humanitarian basis.”

Various South Korean and Moroccan media outlets relayed a few days ago the information, but Dr. Mohamed Lyoubi, head of the epidemiology department at the Moroccan Ministry of Health, said that those reports “are fake news,” stressing that they “are speculative.”

“These are fake news,” El Youbi told the Moroccan state news agency LA MAP.

“Morocco is indeed acquiring coronavirus testing quits from various countries, but the 100,000 number relayed by various media outlets is speculative,” Lyoubi stressed.
