132,000 Moroccan companies are in difficulty

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- The deadly killer COVID-19 is wreaking havoc in the Moroccan economy with more than 132,000 companies suffering the repercussions of the current dire juncture, which has brought various sectors of the Moroccan economy to a standstill.

According to official figures shared by the Moroccan government, a monthly budget allocation of DH 2 billion will be channeled to those companies in a bet to mitigate the damage.

According to a tally combined by the Moroccan government, 800,000 people have been compelled to stop working because of the current crisis.

The aforementioned figures only shed light on Morocco’s formal sector.
