Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- COVID-19 cases in Morocco have risen to more than 5,000 in the last few hours, according to the last tally shared by the Moroccan Ministry of Health.

The virus continues to spread among Moroccans, despite the instilling of a nationwide curfew, which took effect a little over than one month earlier.

This means some Moroccans do not adhere to guidelines aimed to combat the deadly virus, measures taken by the Moroccan authorities.

The death toll has now reached 177.

2 regions hold the lion’s share in terms of the total number of infected people.

At the time of writing, 1,306 are infected in the Casablanca-Settat region, while the Marrakech-Safi region has seen 1,075 people contract the secret killer.
