Morocco’s treasury: tax revenues on a decline

Rabat, Morocco (TMT)- Morocco’s Treasury said, in a statement released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, that the country’s tax revenues are on a decline since the start of the lockdown.

In terms of numbers, it said that for the month of March, tax revenues increased by 3.8% during the month of March, while they declined by 4% during the month of April.

It also stated that normal revenues spiked by 8.1% in March, while they further increased by 15% during April, mainly thanks to donations received via the coronavirus fund.

 The statement reads that MAD 6.7 million from the fund was spent from a total of MAD 32.2 million.
