Eight Years in Prison for Human Trafficking and Production of Pornographic Content

MARRAKECH, MOROCCO— The Court of Appeal in Marrakech has handed down a verdict this week, sentencing a man in his thirties to imprisonment for his involvement in the production and dissemination of pornographic movies featuring underage girls.

The charges brought against the accused individual include the crime of human trafficking and the production of digital pornographic content.

The accused individual was found guilty of filming a group of pornographic movies within his home, involving girls of varying ages. These explicit videos were subsequently published on global websites, resulting in their wide circulation.

The court has sentenced the man to eight years in prison and imposed a fine of 50,000 Moroccan Dirhams (~5,000 USD).

The court has ruled to block the online accounts that were created by the accused. Furthermore, the court has ordered the destruction of the pornographic tapes and images that were seized during the investigation.

Additionally, the court has imposed compensation for the victims as part of the penalties.
