Rabat – Morocco’s National Motorway Company reported a robust turnover of 962 million dirhams for the first quarter ending March 2023. This figure represents a significant growth of 8 percent when compared to the corresponding period in 2022.

In an official statement, the company elaborated on the key performance indicators of Q1 2023. It attributed the increase in turnover primarily to a 3.4 percent boost in operational revenue. This revenue growth was driven by an increase in traffic movement across the highway network.

The first quarter also marked an increase in investments, expenditures for the construction of new highways, and maintenance repairs on existing ones, among other related infrastructural projects. The company recorded a hefty sum of approximately 155 million dirhams, a significant rise from the 109 million dirhams reported for the same timeframe in 2022.
