The Moroccan Association for the Protection of Public Money has announced a protest on July 15, 2023, to be held in front of the Parliament building in Rabat. The demonstration is part of the association’s ongoing campaign against corruption and public money misuse.

In their communiqué, the association asserts the necessity of genuine political will in fighting corruption. They criticize the current government for neglecting its constitutional role in combating these issues, accusing it of protecting rent-seeking and engaging in conflicts of interest.

The group also acknowledges the efforts made to investigate a brokerage network involving eight judges in Casablanca and expresses hope for similar actions in other cities.

They point out the need to combat advanced forms of corruption and bribery that, in their view, pose a threat to the nation’s legal and judicial system.
