Moroccan inventors made a standout contribution at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions held in Geneva from 17 to 21 April. The Moroccan pavilion, supervised by the ‘Ofid’ association, that falls under the International Federation of Inventor’s Association, took home 6 medals. This included two gold medals for the International University of Rabat, two golds for independent inventors, and two silver medals for the International University of Agadir.

The Moroccan delegation, which consisted of 12 members, showcased 9 innovations in various vital sectors, achieving excellence at the exhibition, which for the first time in its history saw over a thousand inventions from around 40 countries.

Mohsen Bouya, the director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the International University of Rabat, reported that Moroccan projects, representing the largest Moroccan participation in the exhibit cycles, were distributed among six university innovations and three individual innovations. The solutions offered covered vital sectors such as renewable energy, road safety, medical technology, and others.

In a statement to the Arab Moroccan News Agency, Bouya explained that the projects presented by the Moroccan delegation attracted noticeable interest in innovative solutions and attention from businessmen who expressed a desire to invest in their manufacturing and marketing processes.

Mohsen Bouya noted that the exhibition presented a chance to establish fruitful relations with foreign inventors for the exchange of experiences, visions, and prospective collaboration and partnership possibilities in the world of Innovation and creative solutions.

The Geneva exhibition is one of the most important celebrations of excellence in the field of invention on an international level. Beyond displaying inventions, the organizers proposed workshops on the various stages of invention, from idea to realization, and pedagogical activities aimed at promoting scientific and creative sense among children.
