Today, on Monday, 22nd of April, police forces in Fes, coordinated with the General Directorate for the Surveillance of the National Territory, in the arrest of a 45-year-old individual with previous criminal records. The person is suspected to be involved in a willful murder and arson aimed to conceal the crime scene indicators.
On April 19, the police of the Fes city initiated proceedings to examine the body of a 41-year-old victim, after it was found burnt in the ‘Al Marjah’ area of the same city. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was subjected to a premeditated murder followed by deliberate arson to hide the crime’s traces.
Diligent field investigations have resulted in identifying the primary suspect in committing this crime. Investigations are currently focused on determining the reasons and backgrounds before he was ultimately arrested on Monday.
The suspect has been kept under custody pending an investigation overseen by the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office to determine all motives and reasons for committing these criminal acts.
