Electrocution Death During Copper Theft Attempt in Tangier

A tragic incident occurred in Al Harareen area of Tangier city when a 32-year-old man was instantly killed by electrocution while trying to steal copper wires from a high voltage transformer.

The man was allegedly planning to resell the copper wire on the scrap market.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the security services promptly responded, completing an initial examination of the scene and the victim.

The man’s body was then taken to the morgue at ‘Duc de Tovar’ hospital for a medical autopsy, in accordance to the legal procedures typically followed in such cases.
