Various Moroccan activists have initiated a campaign to boycott red meat following a surge in prices to over 100 dirhams per kilogram in Morocco.

Outraged social media users have vehemently criticized the sharp increase in red meat prices, urging a boycott. They suggest that people should refrain from purchasing red meat for a collectively agreed-upon period until the prices are rolled back to more reasonable levels, highlighting the effectiveness of boycotts as a potent tool against price hikes.

Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mohamed Sadiki, attributes the price hike to rising production costs due to pasture degradation and feed scarcity caused by the ongoing drought.
