According to the Jamaican Observer, Morocco has donated 90 tons of fertilizer, worth $40,000 to St Kitts & Nevis, the smallest sovereign state in the Americas.

Authorities from St Kitts & Nevis declared that this donation is part of “an ongoing agricultural diversification, productivity and profitability in partnership with other agencies that deal with agriculture and agricultural practices”.

St Kitts & Nevis Acting Director of Agriculture, Thomas Jackson added that the assistance was timely and was part of an effort to “reduce the cost of fertilizer for small farmers in the Federation.”

It is important to remember that Morocco has been targeting several states in the Americas, in order to gain support in the UN for the Sahara case. Such diplomatic moves from the Kingdom’s part has led several countries to withdraw their recognition of the Polisario Front as the representative of the Sahrawi people, and their “state” in the Sahara.
