Spain’s King Felipe VI On a Two-Day Official Visit to Morocco Starting Today

Spain’s King Felipe VI in a Two-Day Official Visit to Morocco Starting from Today

The King of Spain Felipe VI, accompanied by his wife Queen Letizia, begins today an official two-day visit to Morocco, at the invitation of King Mohammed VI.

King Felipe VI’s visit highlights the importance of fraternal relations and the friendship that binds Morocco to Spain.

Today, the Moroccan monarch will host, in honors of his guests, an Iftar at the Royal Palace in Rabat.

During the two-day visit, King Mohammed VI and King Felipe are expected to discuss means to develop economic cooperation between the two countries.

Issues related to the Sahara and the insecurity in the Sahel region are also expected to be discussed.

Mohammed Fadel Benyaich, Morocco’s ambassador to Spain, said previously that “The visit has a tremendous importance for the two countries and for the two friend people and confirms the friendship, cooperation and mutual respect relations binding Morocco and Spain and the two Royal families.”

It is worth highlighting that Spain is Morocco’s second largest economic partner.
