Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg minister of Foreign Affairs will start on Monday an official two-days visit to Morocco.

According to official sources, the visit aims to further strengthen the “already excellent” partnership and cooperation relationships between Morocco and Luxembourg. The two parties will examine ways to enhance bilateral cooperation at the political, diplomatic and economic levels. Discussions will also focus on cooperation within different international organizations and agencies, as well as some regional and international current issues of common interest.

Luxembourg’s foreign minister had agreed last December with Salaheddine Mezouar to further deepen bilateral cooperation at the economic and financial levels and promote a close collaboration between the financial centers of Luxembourg and Casablanca.

Asselborn has also expressed his willingness to help strengthen the relations between Morocco and the European Union.
