The general census of the Moroccan population and habitat 2014 has kicked off today, under the supervision of the High Commissioner for Planning institute of Morocco.
The High Commissioner for Planning, Mr. Lahlimi said earlier the census operation is expected to cost Morocco $US 106 Million.
The general census of the Moroccan Population and Habitat is scheduled to last 20 days, namely from September 1st and September 20th, 2014.
Mrs. Mbarka Bouaida, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, underlined earlier in a communiqué from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs “the importance of such an operation, for it is a crucial and necessary step in the way of evaluating the progress witnessed by the Morocco on the demographic, social and economic levels and in order to have the necessary figures for drafting the appropriate policies.”
