Morocco has witnessed yesterday a new wave of flash floods, especially in the southern region of the country.

While the first wave that has swept the south of Morocco was marked by a death toll that floated around 40 people, no human casualties were reported this time- at least at the very moment of writing the article- especially following the Moroccan authorities quasi-prohibiting citizens from crossing over flooded bridges with their vehicles, or as pedestrians.

Nevertheless, videos on Youtube uploaded by random people (check the video underneath) show that some taxi drivers have thrown the authorities’ instructions out of the window and persisted in crossing flooded bridges.

The Moroccan National Weather Directorate said that the heavy rainfalls are expected to calm down today.

The following video gives some insights on the situation yesterday in the Moroccan city of Tiznit.
