Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-Following the controversy sparked in France regarding the granting of king Salman of Saudi Arabi with large swaths of a public beach for his personal holidays, the Saudi monarch apparently had enough with all the controversy and decided to spend the rest of his holidays in peace in Morocco.
As a matter of fact, the Saudi monarch arrived last Sunday afternoon to Tangier, Morocco after cutting short his trip to France.
He was accompanied by a large entourage of nearly half a thousand people.
The entourage arrived aboard three large aircraft.
King Salman has several residences on the beach in Tangier and is well-known for his love to Tangier, a city where he spent many times his holidays previously.
Yet, this time the Saudi monarch will be staying in the beautiful hotel Le Mirage, located in the vicinity of Tangier.
Hotel Le Mirage is located few meter away from the world-renowned “Cave of Hercules.”
It is worth noting that this is the first time King Salman will spend his holidays in Morocco as a head of state since his accession on the throne few months ago.
