Rabat, Morocco (TMT)-  Only few days following the visit to Morocco of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mrs. Federica Mogherini, Morocco seems to have forgotten, at least for now, the glitch..

Few days ago, Morocco cracked the whip on the EU when deciding to suspend all ties with the European entity following the European Court of Justice ruling on Dec. 10 that the European Union’s trade deal with Morocco “violate international law,” a ruling that was made in response to a suit filed by the Polisario Front, a separatist movement financially supported by Algeria and seeking independence from Morocco.

Back-then, and in a bet to sooth the tensions with the Kingdom, Mrs. Mogherini stated that “the EU remains convinced that the agreements with Morocco [on the Morocco-EU agriculture agreement] do not violate international laws,” further stressing that this is the reason the European Union has lodged an appeal “at the European Court of Justice against the ruling.”

For now, it seems the relations are back on track as Morocco seems to have forgotten the stab in the back, even though that very stab has left a small bruise on Morocco’s back.
